De-Winterizing

We finally got far enough south to feel comfortable with de-winterizing our fifth wheel trailer. So we pulled into a RV park in Oklahoma City, OK, arriving midday and started the process of flushing the water system and buying our first load of groceries. Spent the night and pulled out at noon, heading towards AZ.

We fought very strong head winds traveling west, and the weather started to get colder. What is up with this, we thought it was going to start warming up. Got to Santa Rosa, NM and had dinner. Cin put on a roast in the crock pot prior to our morning departure frm Oklahoma City. Spent the night and departed early in the morning. The temp was about 27 degrees. Where is that warm weather?

The new adventure starts

After a very nice Christmas holiday with family, we made our departure from the frozen north of Alaska.

We arrived in Wichita, KS where we spent one day in our fifth wheel before heading north to Indiana. We spent 7 days in Amish country taking in the local sites while our fifth wheel was receiving the once over by the manufacturer. We also elected to have new carpet installed throughout as well as replacing the kitchen formica counter top with corian.

The weather was a little warmer than the normal for this time of year, but still much colder than we wanted. We headed south just prior to a new storm coming in to this area, trying to beat the snow.
