YAY!!!

I was emailed several pictures of my son and his three children taken on Christmas day. They look like they were having the time of their life and enjoying each other. While I always love seeing pictures of my grand kids, the ones that stood out the most were pictures of my son. After his horrific summer of being so ill, I still had imprinted in my mind a mental picture of him lying in the hospital bed. Today, he looks healthy again and smiling from ear to ear. It thrills my heart. He has more weight to gain before he will be back to his normal weight, but wow! He's off to a great start! Thank God for healing him and giving him back to his wife and children.

Meanwhile, back in Phoenix, our daughter attended her first ever, in person, Bruins game. As you can see, she is all decked out in Bruins colors.....oh,and they won!

Spoiled rotten

Warning** some not so nice language below, but wow. Some tweets from a bunch of ungrateful, spoiled brats! And I use that term loosely. There are dozens, if not hundreds of comments just like these, but I am only posting a few.
These young people were either never disciplined as children or spoiled to the ninth degree. If my child behaved in that manner, you can be damn sure that'd be the last gift they'd ever receive from me.

This behavior has become a pattern among the younger generation as a whole. Just take a look at the mayhem that occurred this past weekend over a pair of tennis shoes! People trampled on, property destroyed and one guy beaten to a pulp as the thieves tore the shoes right off his feet.

This is the generation that will lead our country. Frightening.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!!!

Merry Christmas, all! I wish for everyone to have a joyous holiday season and to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. I, for one, will be happy when 2011 is over and am looking forward to a brighter year in 2012.

This year has been quite eventful in our life and the lives of my family. I swear something awful has touched everyone I love this year. From my son's illness, two car accidents, our daughter and Henry, my Mom's illness that is today still undiagnosed as she gets sicker and weaker, the end of our daughter's five year relationship with her boyfriend, and my oldest granddaughter's move back to Alaska after enduring a year of emotional turmoil with her stepdad.

Despite the bad, we have been so blessed in many ways as well. Henry's job, the purchase of our condo, I was able to visit my grand kids and my son in Alaska, Amanda has been here twice for visits and she will be spending Christmas with us for three days and then returning here to celebrate New Year's as well. We are excited to see her and have lots of fun things planned.

If there is one thing I know, it is that God and family are most important. Without either, I don't know how I would have been able to handle everything.

I haven't been posting to this blog on a regular basis, and most likely will not be from here on, for many reasons. It is difficult for me to stay off the political issues because they are issues I am passionate about, but I understand people get tired of hearing it. Because we aren't full timing anymore and have settled in one location, that's a bit boring to post about.

Parting words.... Please vote for whomever the GOP nominee is, regardless of any misgivings you may have about him. That is the only way to get rid of Obama. This country will not survive four more years of him. To my liberal friends: do your country a favor and don't vote at all!!!! I blame every bleeding heart liberal for the mess Obama has made, and begging people to wake up is getting old. Liberals won't wake up because they're not bright enough to see the bigger picture, enough said.

Hockey Game

Delivered today! Our Bruins/Dallas Stars hockey tickets for New Years Eve! We will be doing Christmas with our daughter over New Year's. I am so excited, can hardly wait!

To get downtown to the game, rather than driving, we will be taking the DART bus, then the DART train. A 52 minute ride one way, which is a long time considering we are pretty close to downtown from the condo. But we will give it a try.

The Cain train has derailed

Yup. Herman Cain is out. I don't know if the allegations are true or not, but I do know the media and others certainly have the power to destroy and crucify if they desire....or rather,if they're directed to.

Rick Perry doesn't stand a chance.
So, we've got Romney and Gingrich. The others are so low on the totem pole, they'll likely just fade to black.

I don't like Romney at all and Gingrich, I don't trust. Where is Col. Allen West? He's who we need.

It's the Fleabaggers!

Haha! The fleabaggers! Love it and especially enjoy seeing Michelle Obama in the crowd...right where she belongs.

Thank you, smokey! This one made my day!

The Face Of Occupy

Wow. How pathetic. No wonder they can't find a job, looking the way they do. I loved some readers comment from another site...here they are:

" They are so high that if they didn’t lean on each other they would be on the ground in the poop."
" Hey, leave those two alone! All they want is their fair share of what the rest of us earned."
"Maybe they’re sharing a tender moment, but keep it to hugs, that lip metal might prove troublesome. They might need a welder, "
"Just be home in time for dinner kids', Love mom "

11/19/2011

Occupy, you say?

Yes! These soldiers got the right idea!

Oh, Christmas Tree

During our six years of full timing, we never had a Christmas tree, even though we had the room for a tabletop tree.
So, this weekend we made a trip to target and purchased a little three foot tree. We found some inexpensive ornaments, tree skirt, and an angel for the top. What's very unusual for us is the fact that we put the tree up already. Definitely broke our 'wait until after Thanksgiving' rule, but that's okay. It is time to get in the holiday spirit.

Our daughter will be here right after Christmas to bring in the new year with us, so we will celebrate Christmas with her just as we did when the kids were growing up. Then on New Years Eve, we will be attending the Boston Bruins vs. Dallas Stars hockey game. Amanda is an avid Bruins fan and I know she'll be wearing the black and gold Bruins colors, so let's hope there are plenty of others cheering for Boston in Dallas.

Happy Veterans Day

Thank you, Veterans, for your sacrifice and your service to this great country of ours.

A new Tax...yippee

Oh cool! A Christmas tree tax! Only they're not calling it a tax, they're calling it a fee....and they say it's not to generate revenue.....the monies will be used by the appointees of the Board (for the new Federal program), so they can research, pass ideas about, and promote the image of Christmas trees. Say what??
First, it IS a tax. Second, it IS to generate revenue, and third...now we have yet another federal program? Goodness, my guess is that by next Christmas, the tax will increase to cover the increasing costs of the Christmas tree promotion Board. Below are the particulars:

President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees — the Christmas Tree Tax — to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).

The 15 cent fee will be charged to Christmas tree sellers, and of course the fee will be passed to the consumer.
Bizarre.

Duh

When you believe the lie, this is what you get.
Did these kids really think that after four or six years of college and tens of thousands in student loan debt, that they would walk from the college directly to a job earning six figures?? Even I, a self admitted, not ashamed to say it, high school dropout could have told these idiots it DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!!

But, here they are, all the over educated idiots blaming everyone else for their own stupidity. I've been saying for two years now that the next bubble to burst will be the student loans/college education.....gettin' ready to pop, especially now that Obama has nationalized student loans, so lucky us! We The taxpayers will get to pay for the mistakes of the morons. AHH, such joy.

November 5th

JULIAN ASSANGE AT AN OCCUPY LONDON PROTEST IN THE MASK

Well, they've all got one thing in common (besides being stupid). They're wearing masks to resemble Guy Fawkes.
This guy, below is Guy Fawkes. He goes way back to like 1605, or something. I guess he was responsible for attempting to blow up the British Parliament with gun powder. He was later tried, convicted and was to be hung. On the day of his hanging, he managed to jump from the scaffolding, fell and broke his neck. Bottom line, the guy was a loser.
In Britain, November 5th is considered Guy Fawkes day and is celebrated by bonfires and the burning of effigies of Fawkes. Personally, I don't get the connection. The guy was not a hero, he was a punk. OHHHH, that's gotta be it! These protestors are punks, too. Okay, that makes sense.

Two things to note: tomorrow is November 5th, the following is a quote from a news story today:
“Remember, remember the 5th of November” warns “V,” the anonymous rebel who sparks a revolution in the 2006 movie “V for Vendetta.”
Based on the comic book series and graphic novel of the same name, the film — and especially the mask worn by “V” — has become a symbol of discontent among Occupy protesters."

Tomorrow has also been declared 'bank transfer day'. The Facebook page set up for the bank transfer day has an avatar of the mask as their symbol. Who is supporting bank transfer day? None other than MoveOn.org, which when you follow the money, takes you directly to George Soros. And who is Soros? Master puppeteer and Obama is one of his many puppets. They are inciting violence. These people WANT a revolution.

GUY FAWKES

Scenes from OWS in Oakland and Seattle

It's quite disturbing, don't you agree? These punks not only have no respect for people or property, but they have no clue what they're even protesting about. Death to capitalism??? If it weren't for Capitalism, they wouldn't have an iPhone to text or tweet...they wouldn't have been able to go to college and rack up tens of thousands in debt...they wouldn't have any of the opportunities they COULD take advantage of. No, these OWS demonstrations are much bigger and deeply rooted than appears. This is precisely what Van Jones, Obama, and the likes want. They are fueling the fire...they are funding these protests through organizations like ACORN, the unions and George Soros.

Obama has been very quiet as these protests have intensified. Why? Because this is what he has called for from the beginning. This is Cloward and Piven in action. Google Frances Fox Piven. These protestors are not going away. They will only become angrier and more violent. Those in front and on the streets are merely the pawns, and they are so completely stupid they don't even know what they're fighting for.

Friendship through the years

Amanda flew to Florida last weekend, joined by her college roommates. Despite living in four different states, they promised to always meet up at least once a year, if only for a weekend. It's been almost six years since their freshman year at Anderson University, and they remain the best of friends, enjoying their time together today as young ladies. Bridget lives in D.C., Savannah, North Carolina, Kyleigh in Florida, and Amanda in Arizona. I love how four strangers from six years ago have formed lasting friendships, and they are just as silly today as they were when they were 18.

One more shot of Jack

Jack's Day

We just picked Jack up from The groomer.

Looks like Jack And Dad were photo-opting while I was in CVS.

Yesterday was Jack's day for sure. He was dropped off at the groomer at 11:00, picked up at 2:00, and then visited two of his favorite stores, PETCO and Pet Smart. He cleaned them out of his favorite puppy snacks, (6 bags), and treated himself to a doggy biscuit after checking out. Neither store had the Waggin' Train brand ham chewies, so off to Target, send Dad in for two large bags, while waiting in the car, sporting his Halloween bandana.

By the time we got home, Jack was pooped out and ready to call it a day.

Champions

Congratulations St Louis Cardinals!!! It was an amazing World Series to watch, and I'm disappointed the Rangers lost, but quite frankly, the Cardinals played a better game. I went to bed last night when the score was 2-4, Cardinals. I knew they were going to win considering the momentum of the game. There's always next year, Rangers.

10/28/2011

Youser! What a Game

What an exciting and amazing game last night! I seriously thought Henry was going to go into cardiac arrest a couple different times.
So many surprising errors and some awesome homers turned the game into an edge of your seat, yelling, screaming and jumping out and down adventure.
Congrats. Cardinals for a game well played. We shall see you tonight for game 7.

Darn the Rain

ST. LOUIS — Game 6 of the World Series was postponed Wednesday because of a wet forecast, delaying the Texas Rangers’ bid to clinch their first championship.

Major League Baseball announced the decision about 4½ hours before the Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals were set to play. At the time, no rain had fallen at Busch Stadium, but heavy precipitation was expected.

Texas leads the Series 3-2. Game 6 was rescheduled for Thursday night at 8:05 p.m. EDT. If Game 7 is necessary, it would be played Friday night.

Bummer. Okay, tomorrow night. I'll be there...well, I'll be here...but will definitely be watching the game! Tonight I will watch Survivor.

Dad and Mom

Henry and I were honored yesterday with a brief visit from my parents. They are in route to Florida for the youngest of their great grandchildren's second birthday celebration. Dad and Mom arrived in Dallas yesterday afternoon and brought with them a cherished piece of furniture that had belonged to my Grandmother. The tea cart shown above. Grandmother always had a whimsical bird that plays a tune, sitting on the tea cart. Both pieces have been passed to me! My daughter will be envious of the bird, as she loves everything 'birds'. So, I polished the tea cart and decided to put it in our bedroom. The bird is in its rightful place, alongside a picture of my Grandmother.

It was nice to see Dad and Mom, as always. They are both getting up in years, so I appreciate any time I can spend with them. Why didn't I take a picture of them? I intended to, and it must have slipped my mind. We all went out for dinner at a place Henry discovered, called Sevy's. The food was amazing, the prices a bit over the top, but we had a good time, and spent the customary three hours dining....that's the way dinner out with my parents goes. Have a drink...wait...order appetizer...wait...order dinner...eat...wait...order dessert and coffee...wait...wait. Visiting all the while... Dad is just that way . But it is fine with me, because I know one day I will miss those dinners with both of them.

Just Sayin'

Muhammad Speaks December 1960 edition. This picture was taken at an Elijah Muhammad speech in Sept. 1960 in NYC. the woman with the short hair appears to be Ann Dunham, Obama's mother. Pictures of Ann Dunham released by the Obama administration always show an Ann with long hair, however, it has been alleged that those photos have been altered to give the impression her hair was long. In fact, Ann Dunham typically kept her hair short. The chin, the mouth...unmistakeable, Ann Dunham.

This photo, released by the Obama admin. is the one allegedly tampered with to look as if her hair is long. Visit The Terrible Truth website for the digital imageries.

This photo is from an archived edition of Muhammad Speaks from early 1962. Compare this woman with the one below of a younger Ann Dunham. Look at the baby. Hello, baby Obama. A REAL picture of the baby Obama.

Alleged picture of baby Obama released by Obama admin. this one has also been deemed to have been 'tweaked'.

And, finally, the man himself, Malcolm X. Malcolm appears in several of Muhammad Speaks editions. One cannot deny the uncanny resemblances and mannerisms between Obama ad Malcolm. How about one generation later?
Malia Obama in the next two photos, and Malcolm X's daughter in the last one.
