Officials cited several factors, including tax increases and spending cuts set to take effect in January that could limit the economic recovery, according to records of their discussion released Wednesday. Tax increases you say? Color me surprised, not.
My parents have absolutely no clue we are coming. They are not suspicious in the least! Woo hoo! I am so super excited!! We all arrive in Denver tomorrow and will all meet up to hash out the details, then Saturday morning, beginning at 9:00 a.m., we will individually knock on their door, at half hour intervals.
We also have arranged for 80 carnations to be delivered on Saturday and Henry's sister has made a beautiful soft throw and embroidered all the grand kids and great grand kids names on it.
Definitely bringing our video camera to record the event. It is going to be so incredibly fun!!!
"To ensure Waggin’ Train treats are not only delicious, but also safe and healthy, they are produced, packaged and inspected in accordance with the highest sanitation and safety standards. In fact, we undertake the extra step of sterilizing every product through irradiation in accordance with USDA guideline."
Wonderful!! In accordance with USDA guideline. Sounds like there's nothing to worry about. Wait. On May 10th, there was a story reporting tht dog treats are coming out of China, and people across the country have made the connection between these products and the deaths of their dogs. Notice in the blip above, they are quick to ensure you that their product is 'produced, packaged and inspected....". NO mention of where the product is made. That is until you go to the FAQ page of their site, where we find the following:
"Q:Where are these treats made?
A: These treats are made in China at facilities that are modeled after U.S. Department of Agriculture standards for quality and safety. In China, dark meat chicken is more popular with consumers than white meat chicken, and so the supply of quality, white meat chicken used in our products is more readily available for dog treats. The factories are under stringent safety and sanitary guidelines and monitored by a dedicated team of quality control inspectors, who are in the plants where the products are being produced. The benefit to our consumers is a premium dog treat at an affordable price."
Stringent safety and sanitary guidelines, monitored by quality control inspectors, my ass!
Of course I pulled out Jack's package of treats and sure enough, right there it says 'product of China'.
Guess I should have paid closer attention before, but suffice it to say, he is now enjoying chicken Chewies and turkey/pumpkin treats which are a product of the good ol USA!!
1) Wind was 17 times higher than the cost of nuclear power
2) Wind was 5 times higher than the cost of coal power
3) Solar was 31 times higher than the cost of nuclear power
4) Solar was 9 times higher than the cost of coal power
As of 3/29/2011 Nuclear power generated 13.5% of all world electricity and solar a mere 0.6%.
Germany: Our Green Energy FutureMay 2, 2012 6:53 am
Every year 600,000 households (2 million people) are getting their power switched off in Germany because they can’t afford the skyrocketing electric bills. At that rate the country (population 80 million) will become blacked-out like North Korea by 2050.
It’s one way of reducing carbon emissions – just catapult your population back to the Stone Age.
Online German flagship daily Die Welt has an article on how skyrocketing electricity prices are making electricity unaffordable for a large number of Germans.…Over 10 years ago Germany enacted the Renewable Energy Feed-In Act (EEG) which requires power companies to pay small producers of renewable energy exorbitant rates for their green power. The power companies in turn simply pass the higher prices on to their customers. Electricity prices rose 10% in 2011 alone!
Meanwhile in the USA:Renewable “Green” energy source requirements (2010 reports) have increased costs, on average 32%:
1) 29 states have adopted new standards including DC and Puerto Rico
2) Residential rate increases = 31.9% higher than in remaining 21 other states
3) Industrial rate increases = 30.7% higher
4)Commercial rate increases = 27.4% higher
This doesn't include coal fired electricity plant closures, coal mine closures and EPA regulations restricting everything conventional energy producing. Family budgets will definitely feel the pinch of "Green energy" costs.
God Bless America ;)
Doctors Feed Aborted Girls to Dogs

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!
Gallup released an abortion poll today. It revealed 41% of Americans now identify themselves as “pro-choice.” This is down from 47% from last July and is one percentage point below the previous record low in Gallup trends.
Oh, lookie here!!! A photo from 1997 of our dear idiot in chief, marching in a July 4th parade in Chicago ! Breitbart.com has the story today.
Please note the Gadsen flag, 'don't tread on me' at the right. Remember when Odumbo made fun of the Tea Party? Hahaha. WHERE has this photo been? Looks like a "tea nagger" to me!
The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car, and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.
I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him.
I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade. He then turned back to the old man. I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying:
'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.
I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief, and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine.
He then went to his wife and spoke with her; he appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough, and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight, and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'
He smiled sheepishly, and quietly nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself, and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around, I saw a gas station up the road, and I told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went I inside. I saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them, and related the problem the old man had with his car. I offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.
The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine), I spoke with the old gentleman.
When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'
He said that he served with the first Marine Division at Guadalcanal Pelieliu, and Okinawa.
He had hit three of the worst ones, and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me. I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.
He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it, and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again, and I said my goodbye's to his wife.
I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station, I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me.
One of them pulled out a card from his pocket, looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.
For some reason I had gone about two blocks, when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name was written: 'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'
I sat there motionless, looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage, and an honor to have been in his presence.
Remember, as we approach another Memorial Day, OLD men like him gave you, and all of us, FREEDOM for America.
Thanks to those who served and still serve, and to all of those who supported them, and who continue to support them.
America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall.
If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!
Remember, Freedom isn't Free. Thousands have paid the price, so that you can enjoy what you have today.
LET'S DO THIS: JUST 19 WORDS:
GOD OUR FATHER, WALK THROUGH MY HOUSE AND TAKE AWAY ALL MY WORRIES; AND PLEASE WATCH OVER AND HEAL MY FAMILY; AND PLEASE PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS, AND WATCH OVER OUR TROOPS, WHO ARE DEFENDING THOSE FREEDOMS. AMEN
‘THIS IS FOR YOU, WHITE B–CH’: WOMAN ALLEGEDLY ATTACKED WHILE ORDERING LUNCH AT COLO. MCDONALD’S“I witnessed this young lady throwing trash out of her car and all I said was that it wasn’t cool,” Shannon, the woman who was seemingly assaulted, explained.
Before she knew it, she said, the woman and her female friend lunged at her, punching her face and pulling her hair through the car’s open window. Then, in the midst of the confusion, a man interjected himself into the fight, throwing a soda at her.
“This is for you, you white b–ch! This is a grape soda,” he reportedly said before taking off.
As for the women, Shannon recalled: “She was right in my window just punching me in my face, pulling my hair…She started biting on my hands so severely. I thought she was gonna bite ‘em off actually.”
Via the blaze.
Every day lately, I have been reading stories like this. Ever since the Trayvon Martin story, things have escalated. In Dallas, over the weekend, a young white girl was randomly stabbed in the back at a Target store, by a black guy. She didn't know the guy..no words were exchanged. He just stabbed her and walked away. It's black on white random crimes happening every day, randomly . Be careful!
Desmond Hatchett, 33, of Knoxville has children with 11 different women, reports WREG-TV.
The state already takes half his paycheck and divides it up, which doesn't amount to much when Hatchett is making only minimum wage. Some of the moms receive as little as $1.49 a month. The oldest child is 14 years old.
Hatchett explains how he reached such a critical mass: He had four kids in the same year. Twice.
Back in 2009 when Hatchett was in court to answer charges that many of the mothers were not receiving child support, he had 21 children. At the time, he said he was not going to father any more kids, but he ended up having nine more in the past three years.
The state cannot order Hatchett to stop making babies. He hasn't broken any laws, according to the report.
What a stupid individual. Actually, the women are not so bright either. The victims are the children...and then they will be future welfare recipients.
What an idiot. I will have to add his name to the 'never watch anymore movies by this guy' list.
Awww, the liberal Hollywood crowd, or at least this idiot in particular, shows how ignorant and out of the loop he really is. He loves this country and is willing to pay his fair share......until facts come into play.
Will Smith: I have no issue with paying taxes and whatever needs to be done for my country to grow. I believe very firmly that my ability to sit here—I’m a black man who didn’t go to college, yet I get to travel around the world and sell my movies, and I believe very firmly that America is the only place on Earth that I could exist. So I will pay anything that I need to pay to keep my country growing. . . .
Interviewer: Do you know how much in France you would have to pay on earnings above one million euros [under new French President Francois Hollande's proposal]? Not 30%. 75%.
Smith: 75?! Yeah, that’s different, that’s different. Yeah, 75. Well, you know, God bless America.
The store carries sodas with old labels, like Creme soda, grape and orange. The kids spent forever in the shop which is how they stumbled upon the restroom with its wild and colorful decor. I love the picture!
Guess I should locate a picture of the kids, too. It was fun having them here. We even took them to our favorite sushi restaurant!
"Several members of the Federal Reserve’s policymaking committee said they would consider expanding efforts to stimulate the U.S. economy if threats to the recovery worsen, according to minutes of the panel’s April meeting.
Fed officials also said Europe’s financial problems pose a significant threat to the economy Hold that thought.— and that was before keep holding the latest concerns about political and financial disarray in Greece. Most alarming from the story is this:
" If the problem appears politically intractable at the end of this summer or even sooner, Sinai said, “I can almost guarantee you our stock market will have a major sell-off.”Rewind time-----On March 13 of this year,, Bernanke said the following about Greece and Europe:
According to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, it's no big deal for the U.S. The man who famously assured us in 2007 that the subprime lending crisis was "likely to be contained," now vows that he'll protect the "U.S. financial system and the economy" from Europe's mess. Yeah, uh, right, Bennie.
And in April:
Bernanke also said that European governments had taken a number of constructive policy actions aimed at solving their debt crisis. And he said the mild recession in Europe should not have a big impact on the U.S. recovery. Mild recession?? Good Lord. Does he really think we are that stupid?
Which is it, Bend over Bernanke?? Never mind. We really don't need your wise input or advice, because anyone with half a brain can see where we're heading. Hello economy? Meet cliff.

Anti-American author and leftist Noam Chomsky told reporters this week,
“If the Obama administration decides they don’t like somebody, they murder them.”
Iranian Press TV reported:
