The G.I.V.E Act To Be Signed By B.O.

To read HR 1388 in its entirety, click on the title above. It all sounds all warm and fuzzy, and I use that phrase very lightly.....that is, until you get to Sec. 6104.

First, a Commission would be established. The purpose of the Commission, is to:
'Gather and analyze information in order to make recommendations to Congress'
This Commission will determine the issues that deter volunteerism and national service, particularly among our young people and how the identified issues can be overcome....and to determine if there is an appropriate role for Federal, State and Local Goverments in overcoming the issues that deter volunteerism and national service.

FURTHER:
(to determine) "The effect on the nation.........if all individuals were expected to perform OR REQUIRED TO PERFORM NATIONAL SERVICE....OR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF NATIONAL SERVICE."

AND:

"Whether a workable, fair and reasonable MANDATORY SERVICE REQUIREMENT, FOR ALL ABLE YOUNG PEOPLE could be developed and how such a REQUIREMENT COULD BE IMPLEMENTED in a manner that could strengthen the social fabric of our nation.

They call it the GIVE Act. They call it voluntary. Whether you are liberal, conservative, Republican or Democrat, you cannot argue that what today MAY be voluntary, tomorrow will be MANDATORY.

You can bet your bottom dollar the Commission will most definitely conclude a 'workable, fair and reasonable MANDATORY SERVICE REQUIREMENT could be developed and implemented.' ...If that was never their intent, this language would NOT be in the bill!

Oh, by the way, it's not just the 'young, able people'..ages 17-25 being required to GIVE. If you read the full text of the bill, they include "Baby Boomers born between 1946 and 1964." They include elementary and secondary school children.(get 'em while they're young) They even include retired citizens.(and even if they're not).

Total cost to the taxpayer: $5.5 BILLION....all under the guise of 'volunteering'.
B.O. will be signing this into law this week! Can you say Socialism?

Hey, Americans wanted change. Looks like they're gonna get it.
