The Iran Hostage Crisis was big news back in the day. On November 4, 1979, 52 U.S. diplomats were taken hostage by none other than Obama's beloved country of Iran.
Khomeini had total control of Iran and the hostages. In response, Carter froze Iran’s multi-billion dollar assets in America, further damaging relations. However, he stated in a press conference,
“I am not going to take any military action that would cause bloodshed... We’re going to be very moderate, very cautious...” (444 Days). And that seemed to be his policy for the first few months.
On January 20, 1981, just minutes after being sworn in to office as the U.S.'s new President, Ronald Reagan signed papers known as the Algiers Acords. Go Reagan!
Last night, unbenounced and unannounced, our dear leader obamassiah, requested a Federal Judge to throw out the lawsuit brought against Iran by these former hostages. Thrown out! "Sorry, former hostages, your plight for 444 days is of no concern to me." is the message Obama is sending, not to mention this message: "Iran is my new best friend".
Just one last thing...... years ago President Reagan said this........
"I don't think you can overstate the importance that the rise of Islamic fundamentalism will have to the rest of the world in the century ahead-especially if, as seems possible, its most fanatical elements get their hands on nuclear and chemical weaponsand the means to deliver them against their enemies." --Ronald Reagan
